Hunter
Bronze and Chain
Albany, NY 2014

Hunter is based of the video game League of Legonds. He is my dream character.
Hunter is a primortial virus that takes over it's host. The host was a hunter that used chain chakrams as its weapons. The virus mutates its host to make its mouth vestigal and photosytethic. The tenticals help power the movement of the creature while limiting its ability to move indefinately. The garments on the figure are based off an ealier work I created using shreads of broad leaf stitched together with sinew.
I created a castable model utilizing clay as its underbody, leaf as its armor and sinew as its stiching. Its tenticales were made from leaf steams and its face from cut up leaves. I then cast the piece in plaster and then used the cast to create the bronze mold.
