the anchient term Abaddon appears in the bible as a place of destruction, an angel, and a bottomless pit, often appearing alongside the place שאול (sheol), meaning the land of the dead.
kwarme omar moore was born and raised in fort green, brooklyn. kwarme was brought up in an environment of violence and racially motivated crime.  he witnessed the death of friends, family and peers brought on by petty ignorances and an inability to communicate with one another in a positive way. while others were unable to bring themselves up and chose to stay in their darkness, kwarme directed himself into art, and learned to search for beauty and perfection in depths. this can be called Abaddon.
kwarme incorporates this concept into his work to combine the aspects of beauty and grace (angel), and deconstructive forms and environments (land of destruction) while having a main figure dominating the enviornments (king).
though keeping his work in a more secular base, kwarme's work holds to his concept creating majestic creatures in the process of transformation from the intereactions with their souroundings.  kwarme strives for perfection in each work by working on each piece to intregrate all elements of the enviroment that has been created.
